I recently got study visa. After somedays, I checked my parents name and found discrepancies with adhar card or other I'd proofs. Now I am not able to understand whether I go for name change request or not. Does visa holds good after name change?

What are the discrepancies? Are you saying, on your application you wrote one name but in reality its different? Or did your parents change their name after you applied?

It's related to my passport. My father's name is "Surjit Singh", but my passport has "Surjeet Singh". Now, I got my visa for studies and I want to invite my parents to my convocation after a year. Due to this difference in name how will I proceed further?

Do I put up a request now for the change of name?
OR
Do I put up a request later in Canada?
OR
Does my visa will be valid after reissue of passport?

What did you write as your father's name in your visa application?

It's Surjeet Singh in visa details as well as in passport details but actually it's Surjit singh.

Yes, "Surjit Singh" is written in all legal and ID's documents.
I'm not sure how the Indian Embassy would react to you wanting to correct your father's name in your pp, but recommend you contacting the embassy or going to the VFS/BLS (not sure who they're using now) and inquire about the correction being made.

Moving fwd, I think you should proceed with using Surjit Singh on all future applications as it'd be your father who'd be applying. As for your student visa app, I don't think the mistake would be considered misrepresentation as you've went by your passport.
