Sent out the application, but now I am worrying if I should have listed US individually as Transit destination in Online Residence Calculator?
Last Christmas I went to Mexico for 6-days vacation and then returned to Canada via U.S on the same last date, I mentioned that in Residence Calculator, but just listed Mexico for 6 days. Not sue if I have to list U.S individually even though I just returned via it on the last day?
I am worrying I will get my app returned...
_______

Thanks for all existing reply, but I still want to clarify further, I entered U.S from Mexico in the morning, and then returned to Toronto by a car through Buffalo & Rainbow bridge in the evening.

If and only if you went out of airport in US, then only you need to mention of US.

The instructions state that other countries are to be mentioned under the reason for travel. In other words, under the Mexican trip you would have said something like, "travelled through the U.S. on return from Mexico." However, I don't think it will matter much.

Lets say if i travel to Russia from Canada. The flight leaves from Toronto for Moscow but has layovers at London, Amsterdan and Frankfurt.

So will the applicant mention all the countries. NO if you never got transit visa for these countries. If you only stayed at the airport and caught your next flight, dont confuse the CIC by mentioning countries you never visited.

You should be fine as only Mexico needed to be mentioned.

Yes, that's what I did with the app. But I still want to clarify further, I entered U.S from Mexico, and then returned to Toronto by a car through Buffalo & Rainbow bridge.

I agree with all the replies here. I was in the same situation. Travelled to Mexico for 6 days through US and came back through US. Crossed the US-Canada borders by own car. I just mentioned Mexico in the residence calculator. You should be fine.

In my case, I went to Australia with a 6 hour transit in California airport (I have a US B1/B2 visit visa), I did not have to exit the airport. On my way back to Canada I had again transited in California but this time I had to exit through customs in order to pick up my luggage and go to a different terminal and re-check in my luggage.

I did not mention in the residency calculator that I transited in USA, you just have to specify your destination country that is it. Therefore do not worry, you shall be fine.
Also day-trip to the US do not need to be mentioned in the residency calculator. I had 1 trip to the US where I went in the morning and returned in the afternoon, I did not mention this because there was a note in the residency calculator saying it does not need to be.

My citizenship application is complete and I am just waiting for my oath date now.

Yes, but what made you think he just stayed at the airport? Let's say he drove in a car across the U.S. border from Mexico, drove through numerous states to reach Buffalo, NY, and then entered Canada. Wouldn't that be considered visiting the U.S. in addition to Mexico? The instructions state: "If you visited more than one country during the same absence, list the first country in 'Destination' and list the other countries in the 'Reason' field." In the OP's case, the entry record is going to show him entering Canada from the United States, not from Mexico.

The OP didnt clarified on mode of transportation. Ofcourse if he drove from Mexico to Canada then he visited US and it has to be mentioned. He only added that travel by car detail after my post.

But when you fly from Cancun to Toronto and have a layover of 3 hours at Dallas. You dont need to mention US in the list of visited countries.

Great...then we agree. The OP's application isn't going to be returned over it, but if you leave an airport and travel in another country by car, train, bus, etc., that's considered visiting that other country and should be mentioned as in the instructions.
