Hi everyone.
I am a visa-required country citizen, and I have been living in the US for about 4 years as a student. I have visited Canada twice last year with a multiple entry visa, but unfortunately it expired. I need to travel to Canada again in 3 weeks, this time for a job interview, with an official invitation from the company. I will be staying less than a week and my expenses will be covered. I have some questions:
1) Do you think it is ok to print out the email where they say that they will pay for my expenses? Do I have to have an official letter from the company again for the expenses, just like the invitation letter?
2) My previous TRV expired a year ago. I should just apply for a brand new visa right?
3) Though it is indicated in the invitation letter that I am invited for the week of August 20-25, since the processing time varies a lot, I don't want to purchase a plane ticket or make a hotel reservation before I have my visa. Do you think I should write a letter to the visa office to explain this?
4) My girlfriend also wants to visit Canada, while I am there, for basically touristic purposes. She is also a graduate student and a research assistant in the US. However, she doesn't have a invitation letter. Do you think she can just apply for a visa without an invitation letter, by just showing that she is a student and has a job here? I know an invitation letter is not *required*, but it can be crucial sometimes.
Thank you very much!
