Desperately waiting. Need help

Hello All,

I mailed my application (skilled worked, phd category) on June 11, 2014 and it was delivered on June 17 (registered letter). It is been over THREE months and I heard nothing from CIC. I emailed CIO and Ottawa visa centre, no reply. Is there anything I can do? I am so worried that my documents are lost.

Relax. It will take time. Your docs are not lost. CIC has to go through thousands of applications.

Thank you for your reply. I just think over three months is not normal and wonder whether something is going on.

It is normal...my advice, do not email them again. If you sent your application by registered mail and it was received, you already know is not lost.

It is perfectly normal. This time the process will be time consuming as the number of people applying are more due to opening of 25 more professions. I am sure you will get a positive response soon. And when you get that do inform all of us. Best of luck and God bless.

Three months does not mean 90 working days ........ it means around 64 - 66 working days.

It is normal...my advice, do not email them again. If you sent your application by registered mail and it was received, you already know is not lost.

Thanks for your advice. I won't email them again. I am just worried that they reject my application and mail it back, but it gets lost somewhere. I guess I will just wait.

Three months does not mean 90 working days ........ it means around 64 - 66 working days.

I heard people usually get a reply in 60 working days. I guess it is not for everyone.

I am also applying under PhD stream. My application was delivered on June 12th.
So far I haven't received any information from cic.
This time it takes longer probably.
