Desperately Waiting for Passports Submitted to ABu Dhabi Embassy

I am feeling a lot of anxiety as I am on last step of a 3 year long journey. Waiting for passports to be returned with that beautiful maple leaf visa stamp .

All those who are feeling anxiety, feel free to join this thread ans share your timelines of submission to Abu Dhabi embassy.
I submitted mine on 29th June and its been more than 15 days now.

Why did you submit the PP to Abu Dhabi VO ?

Shouldn't it be London VO since that is the VO in your application ?

That is the new process for Dubai/middle east applicants. In most cases, passports are not sent to London office anymore. Instead, there is PPR1 step where we send copies of passports and another form to London office and then they send PPR2 which requires us to send our passports and photos to Abu Dhabi embassy.
Process in the past was different.

BTW, i got passports back on 17th. Atleast my anxiety is over

That is a fantastic new development for middle east applicant....

a major + to select LVO over NDVO for Indian expats in middle east.

Yes, its normal that process completes in one year starting from may last year applicants.
I belong to an old batch. 2+ years was normal for applicants before 2013.
It took 4 years and 4 months for my case to be approved.
But all is well that ends well

I belong to an old batch. 2+ years was normal for applicants before 2013.

i cannot work without my passport for long....so lesser time is the most suitable for me. .

The PPR1 and PPR2 process is applicable to a few nationalities only and they have to submit PP to AUH. Others continue to send PP to LVO.

There is no list but precedent for checking passports exists.

around 20 calendar days. If passports are sent to LVO, they take from 4-6 weeks to return.
AUH is definitely a better option.

AUH is quicker since you are without your PP for a short period of time only, but please don't give the impression that there is a choice between the two offices, available for applicants to decide where to send PP to.

There is list on the website, but CIC follows this pattern for a few Nationalities, as they verify the authenticity of the passport before stamping of the visa.
