I am a Canadian citizen who married an American citizen 8 years ago. We are separating and I am moving back to Canada with my 8 year old daughter. He has agreed to give me our 2001 Windstar van to come home with so I will have that as well. I will be bringing very little back with me. My computer, photo albums and clothes for my daughter and I. I do not have a passport and neither does she. I am afraid that when I get to the border, I will run into problems with the van and with the fact that neither of us have passports. I want to leave within the next week or so. Can anyone please advise me on what kind of problems I could run into and how to avoid trouble at the border? I appreciate it so much. Thank you.

I think it would be best if you contact the border services and ask. You can find them at http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/contact/general-generaux-eng.html

Thanks Leon. This is scary enough going through a split without having to worry about problems at the border as well.. Thank you!
