Yes - it's possible he may face issues.my question is my friend was deported from Usa 11 years ago. Now he planing to go Canada as visitor.. Do he will face any immigration problems. Because he did crime in Usa 11 years ago
It’s was drug case ..he served 14 months sentence after he deportedYes - it's possible he may face issues.
What was the crime he was deported for?
Has he already obtained a TRV or eTA to enter Canada as a visitor?
Now what he should have to do for Canada visaIt’s was drug case ..he served 14 months sentence after he deported
He didn’t apply yet he want to apply next month .. not what he have to doHe'll most likely need to apply for rehabilitation before he can be issued a visitor visa. When he applies for a visitor visa, he needs to be 100% honest about the criminal charges and also about his deportation from the US. The US and Canada share information extensively. If he leaves this information out of his application - CIC will find out, refuse his application and then ban him from Canada for 5 years for misrepresentation. If he needs to apply for rehabilitation, CIC will let him know.

Again, he needs to apply for a visitor visa using the link I provided above. He must declare the deportation and his criminal convictions in this application. He didn’t apply yet he want to apply next month .. not what he have to do
If declare all things .. he will get visa ??Again, he needs to apply for a visitor visa using the link I provided above. He must declare the deportation and his criminal convictions in this application.

So first he will apply tourist or work visa to embassy after they will let him to know that he have fill criminal rehabilitation forms right... how much this time take ???No - there is no guarantee he will get the visa.
It's hard to say. If a rehabilitation application is required, it could take many many months. So first he will apply tourist or work visa to embassy after they will let him to know that he have fill criminal rehabilitation forms right... how much this time take ???
