Dear Sirs,

I will appreciate very much your response and assistance in respect of the matter below.

I was married in the US and unfortunately we divorced two years later in 2001. My American ex-wife reported the divorce to immigration without even knowing it and I was ordered to leave the US. I have a 13 years old daughter who is living with her mom in the US. However, I applied to remain in the US but I got no answer from the INS until one day May 2nd 2002 immigration detained me for 6 months and was deported later to Morocco. I had no other charges or felonies. For your information, I graduated with an MBA from an American University, I became a high school teacher and my student adored me. I was told by immigration that I have a 10 year ban. Now, after 12 years I would like to immigrate to Canada on a FSW programme and I do not know if such event will prevent me from immigrating to Canada. I a m married and I have two little children. Should I write a separate paper and explain this (how and why I was deported) should I ask for a federal record and send it to Canada immigration even if that this happened more than 12 years ago? Should I put my US daughter as dependent even though she is not living with me and will not accompany me? The issue is that my ex wife discontinued intentionally all communication with me 10 years ago and I do not have even her photos to submit to immigration office. But I have the marriage certificate, divorce decree and the birth certificate of my daughter. Do you think that my case is complicated or not? Do you think that having a Canadian immigration lawyer will assist or it will not help.

Let me know please.

Thank you so much for your advice.
