Hello All ,

I have submitted Paper based applications for my twin babies who are in India two months back from Toronto , to Case Processing Center 49 Dorchester Street Sydney, NS B1P 5Z2 as I am currently living in Canada.
No updates from IRCC that application was received and I am trying to reach IRCC via 1-888-242-2100 for the past 3 weeks but in vain.
Not sure how to raise webforms without application number or UCI as it is paper based .
I am bit worried now as I am planning to bring my babies during the month of august 2022 and I cannot apply OIHP for them without COPR and currently they have only TRV .

Please let me know how could I reach IRCC and get an update as I am not able to track my application and link my kids application .

Your suggestions would be of great help and support . Thanks a ton.

Regards
Prasanna

It's normal to get AOR in a few months after you submitted the applicaiton. Although we've seen some applications getting AOR earlier.
You will not hear anything until AOR. Then it's likely biometric and medical requests.
I think you have to make sure that you get private medical insurance coverage for your children until they get OHIP. (very likley have to wait till or close to getting their PRs)

I haven't lived in ON so it may be different than here in NB, but for the many vaccinations babies get in the first year you can try to see if Public Health offers them to kids even without OHIP. When we moved to Canada and our NB Medicare was still being processed, public health was fine with our 1 year old getting her vaccines at the public health clinic even without provincial health coverage. This doesn't solve the bigger issue of needing COPR to get OHIP, and again it might be different in ON, but thought I'd mention it as something to look into at least for the million vaccines babies get.

Due to Covid most public health clinics are now closed. I know the vaccination clinic closed in Toronto and I assume hasn’t reopened.

Your children will only qualify for OHIP once they get PR and the 3 month wait period may hav3 returned by then. You should expect that it may take a year for them to get PR. You should buy emergency travel medical insurance and then you’ll need to pay for any routine care out of pocket.
