Hi Seniors,

I am the Principal applicant and I am planning to land in Canada in April and I will be staying in Canada for 3 days. After that I am going to my home country for 3 months. My dependent will be landing in June. My question is can a dependent land in Canada while the principal applicant has already landed but not being in Canada during the dependent's landing time? Is it illegal to courier the PR card abroad?

My another question is should the dependent should show proof of funding during the landing time?

Many thanks in advance!

Yes, they can land after you've landed even if you are not in Canada. It is risky to courier the card abroad, as it can be lost or stolen. You can apply for a travel document(good for one time entry) while outside canada if you don't have your PR card.

My another question is should the dependent should show proof of funding during the landing time? I don't know, may be other members can help with this.
Many thanks in advance!
