Has anyone gone through the process of getting a TRV (Work permit) as a dependent to their child's student visa? If so could you brief out the process?

So the minor child has a study permit, correct? The parents aren’t eligible for a a work permit but a visitor visa. Having a child in Canada studying on a permit or if the child is a citizen (and you aren’t) doesn’t allow a parent to work.

A parent cannot be a dependent of their child.
Parents can apply for TRV (NOT WORK permit) visitor visa independently to visit their child. But that depends on their tie to the home country and showing that they are real visitors and will return after the trip.
