Hi all,

My husband applied for PR canada last march. He applied for student visa (full time MBA) as well in last August Unfortunately both the applications including study permit and PR reached embassy on same day. His PR got rejected and study visa got accepted till july 2012. I have applied for a student dependent visa last december but got rejected stating the following reasons:

1) Travel history
2) family ties in india and canada
3) lack of sufficient funds
4)length of proposed stay in canada

i am really messed up with the situation I dont know what iam supposed to do, should i apply for dependant or open work permit visa again or wait till my husband apply for PR but it will take longer time. Can anyone kindly suggest on this please.

hai..........As far as i know there is no dependant visa to canada. Either open work permit or visit visa. My husbands open work permit got rejected eventhough i am full time worker in canada stating VO is not satisfied he may leave canada at the end of specified period of time............Good luck to you

Apply for an open work permit and try to fix your other reasons like show why you would return to India again and show that you have funds. I suppose you just applied for a TRV before. If you apply for an open work permit, you can reason that you will be working and will not need as much in funds.
