Dependent visa for spouse-please help

Hi, I need your help. I'm an Indian citizen employed in the US. My company is sending me to their company in Canada for a year and ll be getting me back after a year on L1.. I m getting married this year in November. My questios are as follows:
1. Since I wanna take my spouse with me to Canada after the wedding, how easy is it to get a dependent visa for him?
2. Can he apply for a work permit with a dependent visa?
3. If I bring him on visitors visa, how many months can he stay?
4. Do both of us have to go to stamping together or I get it here in the US and he gets it in India?
5. How long does the process normally take?

my guess is you are applying for ICT, Your spouse can apply for a open Work Permit and stay with you as long as you have the WP approved.
