Hello! I am a Canadian citizen, currently filling out forms to sponsor my spouse. We have a 14 month old child together who was born in Canada, also making him a Canadian citizen. My question is, would he be considered in the dependent children section of the application? I am confused if he is included or not because he is a Canadian citizen but I don't remember reading anything about what should be done if the child is a citizen.

Thank you!

No he is not a dependent, so should not be listed as one and does not need a medical exam.

He will just be listed in the "other family" form for information purposes.

Thank you! Another question, on the form IMM 0008, it says to list dependants and that the applicant must list spouse or common law partner. Do I include myself (the sponsor) here or no?

You are not a dependent for the purposes of this application.
