Dependent Child Born in Canada - IMM0008 - Last Point of Entry?

Hi,

Applying under provincial nominee program in Nova Scotia. My wife and I are here on 2 year work visas and our daughter was born here 2 months after we landed. My understanding is that our daughter is therefore a Canadian Citizen?

On the form IMM0008 under Dependents Q14 it asks what our daughter's last point of entry to Canada was - she has never left Canada, so has never had a point of entry (or do we put Halifax, which is where she was born)?

I also have another daughter in the UK who is not accompanying us to Canada - again, she has never been to Canada, so would have no last point of entry.

Do I just leave these fields blank on my application?

Many thanks in advance for any assistance anyone can offer!

Yes, as a general rule, she is a Canadian Citizen - if you or your spouse are diplomats, she might not be, but I suspect that's not the case.

She doesn't need to be listed - she's a Canadian citizen. Note that it says to list dependents of you or your spouse that are not already citizens or permanent residents of Canada.

Then leave it blank. If the form won't allow you to do so and validate, fill it in with something and attach a page that notes the entry and why it is invalid and the fact your other daughter is not accompanying you to Canada.
