Hi All,

We had received medicals on NOC 4131 after a long wait of 10-11 months. Thanks for all ur support.

I have few questions going further.
- Normally how long does take to get PR visa stamped once we send out medical and passport

- Once reached to Canada after getting PR stamped, Is dependent spouse is free do job or to do business or may be doing nothing, (my spouse is more interested setting up business than doing job so he may be idle for some time in the beginning, is it having any implication getting citizenship) Pls explain in detail.

Thanks again for all ur support throughout.

PR visa stamping varied from VO to VO

yes, your dependents are PR as well and they can do any job ( with exception to some high profile ministrial jobs which requires one to be citizen) and do any business

After 'landing' each is on his/her own as an 'independent PR'. S/he can do anything individually... there's no more any PA.

And in this case, wouldn't the family members who stayed in Canada the whole time end up being able to apply for Citizenship earlier than the original applicant who left the country?

If you send the passports along with the Medicals, you should get it in 4-8 week, hopefully.

A spouse with a PR can do anything. Good luck.

Thank you guys,

Along the same line have one more question,

What are other important criteria(s) to fulfill as a 'dependent PR' other than staying in Canada for 1095 days. Do you have any consequences if you are not doing anything for the initial period and not generating any income or starting up business without any revenue?

thanks

U r free to 'do' or 'not do' anything here. It doesn't matter whether u remain occupied or not. It's the timeframe 'inside Canada' that matters. U r free to remain idle all the while. But, if u claim 'Social Security' - it'd have its consequences [no, not in citizenship though].
