Hello dear All!
I have an interesting question about my dependants. Going through on-line tool I found that it's need to count all dependants, going to immigrate or not.
In my case, I have a daughter from my previous marriage ,and she is already has PR, she immigrated with my ex.
So, the question - Do I need to say that I have 4 people (me, my wife, our son and my daughter) or I do not to mention my daughter at all?

Thanks to all for your answers.

IMO if you have custody you will need to mention her, and explain the situation in the Letter of Explanation (LoE).

Will not hurt to simply mention her, irrespective of the above, and explain in the LoE.

Thank you for reply.

I asked my question because (as I went through MPNP EOI) if I mentioned SOMETHING I will need to prove it.
In this case, if I mention my daughter....will I need to have and to show additional money for her?
According to canada.ca for 3 family members I need to show $19,093 but for 4 I have to have $23,181.
But, if it's OK to explain the situation in LoE I think I am OK.

PS: Where can I find some examples of LoE ?

If your daughter is a dependant (imo basis your custody or separation terms with ex, check with an immigration lawyer) you will need to show money for her even if she is a permanent resident or Canadian citizen.

The fund criteria is to ensure you have enough money for all your needs (including supporting dependants) while in Canada. So if you are currently providing for your first daughter, i guess you will need to continue to do it even when in Canada and will need funds for the same.

You must include your daughter and show proof of funds for ALL dependents.

Note that being a dependent for the purposes of IRCC has nothing to do with custody agreements. Even if the other parent had total custody, the child would still be a dependent. The only situation where the child would not be a dependent is if parental rights has been legally terminated.

canuck_in_uk, thank you for the explanation.

So, adding a family member is OK, but the second thing is interesting me: if I mention my daughter, will I be asked for her passport, medical checks etc...?

I believe that the system will ask you for her documents/medical but you just include a copy of her PR card and a letter of explanation instead. Search around the forum, as there are many threads about applying for PR while having Canadian citizen/PR dependents.
