Dependant child studying abroad

not sure if anyone can help me with this question but I thought I would try. My wife has now immigrated to Canada and we would like
to bring her daughter who is Chinese and studies in Sweden to Canada. Do we have the option to go through the London Visa office or do we
need to go through the Beijing Visa office?

Hi Mark if you did not make sure you included your step-daughter as an applicant on your application to sponsor your wife originally - even if she was "non-accompanying" your wife at the time, your next quetion will be moot. CIC will not allow future sponsorships unless the daughter was included on your original application. So hopefully you did that, As to part 2 of your question, one of the more senior forum members will likely chime in shortly. Blessings.

If she has been legally admitted to Sweden for at least one year, you can apply through London. If not, then it would have to be through Beijing.

thank you for the reply, and yes she was included in her moms application. I am glad she can go through London!!!
