We have a interview soon and in the pdf attachments of the email below is one of the bullet points.

"Any other evidence that you would like the immigration officer to consider and that might be useful to demonstrate the genuineness of your relationship with your sponsor."

Curious to see if anyone has ideas for this.
I am terrible at proving something that really exists.

Thanks

Read pages 19-22 of this manual on what you need: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op02-eng.pdf

All the best.

we included new chat logs and phone logs, flight itineraries for trips after we submitted the application, receipts from things we did together, new photos, and included things like screen shots of houses we looked at online to see what kind of area we want to live in

Ok but this about the interview not about the application.

Is there anything outside your suggestions other the norm?

Here's the bullet points in the pdf. My question is about the last one.

  • ALL correspondence between you and your sponsor such as: letters with their original post- marked envelopes, printouts of e-mail messages, chat records, faxes, etc. (whatever has not been submitted yet).
  • ALL telephone bills indicating calls between you and your sponsor (whatever has not been submitted yet). DO NOT submit phone cards, unless accompanied by an itemized statement from the phone-card company.
  • ALL photographs of you and your sponsor together, (whatever has not been submitted yet). The photographs must be printed. DO NOT bring photographs in electronic devices such as CD's or USB memories.
  •  ALL evidence of financial support between you and your sponsor (whatever has not been submitted yet).
  •  Evidence of any visits between you and your sponsor.
  •  Any other evidence that you would like the immigration officer to consider and that might be
useful to demonstrate the genuineness of your relationship with your sponsor.

Often couples submit stories of love but everyday life is not always like that. Conversations you had about insurance, school or other real life examples are valuable. Affidavits from family and friends can also help.

right... so anything you and your wife have, that is not listed in the above points, that you feel might help your case.. if you don't have anything else besides what they are asking, then you don't provide anything besides that. the interview is your chance to prove your marriage is genuine, so if you want to show them, or provide them with something to convince them, this is your chance.

every application is different... , some applicants are able to visit their spouse in Canada and others can't. so that last point maybe doesn't apply to you if you feel you don't have anything else to show the VO.

Affidavits, this sounds interesting.

We have been together all of 1 1/2 years minus 100 days since our marriage.
Since the application, I (the sponsor) have been to her mom's house, 3 hours away, for Semana Santa twice, Christmas and New Years. I was the best man at her sister's wedding.

So maybe an affidavit from the mother and brother ,and maybe our gardner friend at our residence complex (He sees us almost every day).
Maybe a photocopy of her sister's marriage certificate with my signature.

I want to dot the i(s) and cross the t(s) so there is absolutely no problems.
