Is cashing the DD shows anything about my status? I mean I can ask my bank whether it was cashed or not. But is that necessary or will help.

Is cashing the DD shows anything about my status? I mean I can ask my bank whether it was cashed or not. But is that necessary or will help.

CIC only goes in for processing the payment, if everything else is in place. Therefore, your DD getting charged is a good sign that an email of positive eligibility is on your way.
