Hi LeonLeon said:They ask for TEF. If you take something else or use other documentation to prove your French, they will probably give you 2 points for basic French but it's up to their discretion.
The OP has to take TEF, DELF is not acceptable. Here is the ruling of the Federal Court regarding regarding tests other than TEF http://decisions.fct-cf.gc.ca/en/2009/2009fc1143/2009fc1143.htmlShahi said:Hi,
Even i am not sure about this DELF Vs TEF. I agree there is a lot confusion. When i ask AF people in my city, they are surprised as well that DELF is not accepted.
Also the level of TEF exam is not known, not even to the AF teachers.
Could somebody guide!!!
Cheers
Shahi
According to this case,he had given document(berlitz language school) for french language which is recognized locally or national level. but delf is recognized internationally. If u see quebec immigration, they consider DELF then how comes cic doesnot consider delf even quebec is a part of canada.PMM said:Hi

Because CIC doesn't recognize DELF, if you don't like, complain to CIC, see how far you get.coolguy001 said:According to this case,he had given document(berlitz language school) for french language which is recognized locally or national level. but delf is recognized internationally. In your last post, you had specified some link which u think it is related to DELF. But if you carefully look at the case, that case is not related to delf. Recently i heard from someone that cic do recognize DELF as a supporting document. They dont deny fully..PMM said:Hi

Although in the LINK the court case is regarding the use of Berlitz results, the ruling confirms that CIC has the ability to accept what language test it is feels is appropriate.coolguy001 said:In your last post, you had specified some link which u think it is related to DELF.
