application received by vegreville:13rd of feb 2009
started processing:29th of feb 2009
AIP:15 july
still waiting
no document is requested !
if you think yours is delayed please talk about it.

I think mine is delayed for some reason too.
My time line so far:
Application received July 20th, 2009
Processing started August 20th, 2009
File transferred to local CIC office January 20th, 2010

I did not get the first stage approval yet and have not heard from CIC since Jan 20th.
The website states that the processing time is 5-6 months, it has been 8 for me already.

The 5/6 months is for first level approval. Your application didn't receive it, so it sent to the local CIC and their will be an interview. Depending on the CIC the interview could be up to 2 years away. You should probably order your FOSS notes to determine where the problem is.

I didnt get first stage approval, and also i got a letter that they will review my file in 2012 ( or longer than that)
I got my FOSS notes in february so I know my problem...

Its too long...

Pretty well, unless something comes up when the local office checks the application.

Local CIC offices are the ones near you (in Canada), like in my case Saskatoon.
By the way PMM, do you know how long does it take for the Saskatoon office to process, because 2 years sound very scary.... and I would rather withdraw my application and apply outland.

thanks for your reply and description. try to consult some one specialist before withdrawing. hope the best for all of us. life is beautiful and we have to enjoy our lives rather than just waiting.

Yeah, we technically should enjoy it .... my life currently sucks =)) and the ironic thing is that my thesis is in Psychiatry, specifically on Prozac, so I know all there is to know about the artificial happiness =))

wow if you don't get first stage approval and require an interview it could be in TWO YEARS?????? that's so crazy!!! What would some reasons be for that to happen???? this is stressful...

our timelines seems to be close. so you have received AIP, am I right? did you try to find out that what is the problem could be? Do you think that its because of they dont receive the necessary information for our background check from our countries?!
