Delayed arrival in Canada after Study Permit approved

Hello,

I have a query regarding my travel to Canada. I have my study permit approved and initial plan was to travel in December 2022, but due to some personal reasons I am planning to join in May intake as my university acceptance offer is valid till May 2023. My Visa Stamping has Date of issue as 26/Oct/2022. Is it fine if I travel in April 2023 or should I start even more earlier? I have heard if it is not more than 150 days no need to inform IRCC. But, is 150 days counted from Date of Issue or University joining Date(Jan 4th 2023) that I gave in my application. Kindly share your suggestions.

150days starts from the enrolment date. To be on safe side, request your DLI to reissue LOA

If you have LOA for May 23 intake, you are fine. The 150 days are counted between the intakes (Jan and May).

Count 150 days from Jan 04, 2023. You can go without prior intimation till June 04, 2023 based on your first LOA issued.
However, if you get a new LOA it is advised to inform IRCC.
