Hi guys
I added my spouse to my PNP- PR application after I was requested medicals. I was 15 months into my application process. He was added to my application in October 2017. My spouse is a British citizen and in Canada on an
Open work permit. In March 2018, I got a relationship questionnaire request and some other information regarding our marriage. They sent a medical request in April and received his medicals in May 2018. We haven’t heard anything back from CIC ever since and they can’t transfer my call to a customer service represantive because they are too busy.
I had called them prior to that and they said I won’t be able to get any processing time as it varies from case to case. Does anyone have experience in a case like this? I just want to know how long it can take?
Thank you

This sounds pretty normal. Based on what we've seen on this forum, adding your spouse takes at least three months from the time all required documents are received - this would be May for you. You should hear something in August or September.

Thank you !!
One more question, with all the extensions I have had on my work permit, I have exceeded the period of 4 months. Is there a chance of getting another extension while my PR is in process? My current WP expires in October !!
