Hi All,

i wanted to know the current time for Citizen application process in GTA at Mississauga office, i have sent my file to CIC on May 31st 2018 and received any acknowledgment that they received my file on June 04 2018 and started processing it on Aug 06th 2018,

In Mid September 2018 i was requested to fill Questioner and provide documents as per the checklist (same documents again which were already submitted at the time of application) sent in an envelop by Mississauga office. i was also asked to provide finger print along with that. As per CIC my file was randomly picked for quality check and to improve their process, i have to provide all this in 60 days to Mississauga office and if i do then it doesn't affect the over all processing period which 12 month and if i don't then it does. but fortunately i have provided all in time in fact within 15 days,

Now it's been almost 15 month since i have submitted my file as we near to September 2019, i have been checking in on CIC my accounts portal but no update, i called customer service at regular interval and they don't have any update too except to say that i have to be patient as it is local Mississauga office who will inform you. they also confirmed that from my end i have provided everything that was requested by Mississauga office and there neither any a query nor we have requested anything further.

It is really frustrating to wait for this long and very discouraging at a time especially when you are planning to travel, The laziness of office bearer, unprofessional staff and low working standard at CIC could easily put you in a stress and jeopardize your future plan,

Is anyone on the same boat as me and could advice what could be done in this case?

Things to be done in your case
A) Contact your local MP and ask him to write a letter to IRCC office.
B) Apply for GCMS notes to check for any documentation on your file by Visa officer.
C) Inquire through web form and ask them for delay in processing.
D) I have found out my local office through GCMS notes and sent a cover letter through fax asking them details about processing.

Good Luck, hope you receive your Test invite soon.

I agree with the above comment. When my application was delayed (after 13 months of submitting it), I went to my MP and asked for their help. In less than 2 weeks, I heard from CIC again.

I am taking my oath next month. I am March 2018 applicant

Hi how do you go about sending a letter to the local office ?

My application has been received since May 17th, 2018. I have called IRCC countless times, webform , contacted MP office and I also sent a letter to minister of citizenship office- which they replied and said it’s in process . I have passed criminality and background security and once they verify I odd the requirements I will get test invite . It has been at my local office - Scarborough, since August 2018.

I have tried to find a number for my local office but can’t . How did you manage to ?

I found out IRCC Mississauga office number on Google and called them to ask for Fax number later I sent the cover letter stating the obvious help on my file.
