Hi there, so I was studying in Australia for one year course and I changed it to a 2 years course but failed to apply for an extension for 3 months after my student visa was over. So my application for a new one was refused because I was out of status in Australia. I applied for reconsideration, was given a bridging visa with permit to study. I finished my studies and left. Now do you think my PR application which was submitted a year ago refused because my degree was not completely on a student visa?

Very likely yes. As part of your background check for PR, IRCC do info sharing with The Five Eyes Alliance ( Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States ). Out of status is a pretty serious immigration issue.

This won't impact your PR application as long as you declared the Australian refusal (and any other refusals you may have to other countries).
