definition of a co-signer please?

is a co-signer someone who takes financial responsibility along with the sponsor for the prinicipal applicant? I guess this isnt always necessary as for commonlaw class there is no minimum financial requirements. Did i answer my own question pretty much bang on?

Yup U did!.. So if ur applying common law, then u dont need to worry about the co- signer thingy
