Definition of a 'Certificate'

Hi, well I have dropped 18 points to 468 now as a result of changing my 'Education classification' From '2 or more certificates, degrees or diplomas' to '3 year Bachelors Degree'. :'( Apparently professional designations are not degrees, diplomas' or certificates. At least it's better to get it right.

It got me thinking though; it says a diploma is issued in completion of a trade course, a degree is a professional degree under 'medicine, law etc ...'

What is the definition of certificate? Cannot find guidance on CIC website.

A part of the reason I'm asking is in Australia when I go to the website my Australian CA designation is formally recognized as A 'Graduate Diploma'. From this wording I thought it might have been a 'Certificate' as for CRS purposes diplomas' are issued in relation to completion of a course in a 'trade'.

The same applies for the CPA Ontario designation here.

This thing has me confused.

I have applied for ECA to WES.
I am an ACCA affiliate and have a Bachelors
Any idea if I will get a Bachelors only or tow or more?

Does WES do an ECA for a qualification issued by a professional body? I thought they only do it for University degrees. Based on the opinion I got on this Forum it will be a 'Bachelors' degree only.

I am not sure, I have applied to WES. Let us wait for the ECA but if that is the case I will also drop to 441
