Hello, I am gurjant singh; I got PPR on 8th of April but due to some reasons I deferred my May intake to september on 20th of April. Still today, I have not updated to the embassy that I have taken deferment although, I had sent my passport to IRCC but it returned back without having stamp on it because of the office got closed on 3rd of may in India.
Besides this, my agent is consistently telling me that there is no need to tell the embassy. He suggested me that I have only to take the stamp of May intake, and after reach in Canada will have to extend my study permit. I am tensed because my course is of only one-year that will be completed in december 2021. I wanted to take work permit of one-year after completing this course. I need help in this concern, whether it is required to update my New Septber LOA to IRCC or not. The another question is, if I will update my LOA, then having there is any negative impact however i got the final result as PPR.

Your agent is right. No need to inform IRCC if your deferral period is less than 150 days. Go check out IRCC's twitter handle and read through their tweets. They repeat this several times every week cos people keep asking.
