Hi Guys

anyone having idea if visa stamped for 'Concordia University' can be deferred to another semester? without re-applying or any other issues?

My story:
Applied study visa - refused with multple reasons.

after improving file, I re applied after a year almost for sep 16, they stamped it and I want to defer it.

Can I defer this study to Jan 17 batch?
considering Concordia is not having any problem for issuing new offer letter.
Then CAQ needs to be obtained again?
Do I need to submit my passport to CIC/VFS with valid new offer letter and reason to stamp it again or same stamp can be used?
If yes, then is there any case in your exp where one needs to defer and he/she received negative response?

anyone having answer to above query, please post it also please post CIC website address that supports.

I guess answer is given here

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/admission-deferral-after-obtaining-a-study-permit-t157644.0.html

and link they have given is this:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=487&top=15

I am not sure though.

Same happened to me... I got visa. But admissions were full gor srpt 16. So University has decided to defer it to January 17. :o

So after you get your offer for Jan term do you have to apply for anything within India/your country? Like study permit or change of program or anything?

Buddy. I sorted out everything. I emailed to embassy about mine above mentioned issue. They have said me that it is fine to travel in January but you should present new admission letter and supporting documents that why you differed course...thats all you need.

1. CAQ is valid for maximum 49 months.
