It means that you can request for deferral only once. And the maximum period for which deferral is valid is one year you cannot request beyond one year deferral :(

Let me rephrase your thoughts in my own words so that I can understand what you are trying to say. For example, a year has three semesters. January, May and September. If my original offer is issued for January intake , I can ask for a deferral only one time i.e either for May or September. Not for both in the same year.

I'm stuck in a tricky position. Maybe extention letter will do it. Visa officer had better know it.

In simple words you cant ask for deferral more than once.Once you have it, it is over for you. If you already have a deferral then the only choice for you is to go for extension

8) . Do visa officers know about such deferral policies? Like every university has set their own. I can still join my classes even after two weeks from the actual start date. They will issue me an extention letter.

You have deferred from January to May. What's the policy of your university?

Visa officers do not have to know this they will simply ask you to produce the required documents,If you can provide them the deferral letter then wait for another 4 month so they can ask for new one.it looks like CHC is playing some interesting game, unfortunately we are on the receiving end.And if you cannot produce the document then the game is over for you.

About my deferral letter! I have informed my professor about the situation here and am least worried about the policy of the university. If the university granted me the deferral letter fine, otherwise I will ask CHC politely to return my documents

Yes. I was already told that I could not ask for a deferral twice. I will have to apply through a normal route. They will evaluate my academic docs again. They will charge $500 again as their initial deposit upon issuing me an offer letter which can not be refunded either.

I'm just clueless how come you have not received your passport yet. Maybe possible in two or three days?? Is there also a queue in printing visa sticker on your passport?

nazia max delay u can ask for is one year..

if there are 3 sems in a year u can deffer whole one year once..

or deffer after every semester for next sem. .but max upto one year..

if u want to deffer beyond that.. thats not a deferment.. but a readmission . u will just have to submitt new app fee. but no need to submit docs again as they have already go them.. :)

Two opinions are always better. If you read the same news on BBC, CNN and Skynews that means it is confirmed. I was trying to figure out what was the understanding of another person. Was it in line with mine? There is no more ambiguity left regarding their deferral policy . Sab and I were on the same page

Here is my explanation for delay
All the printer and visa printing machine gone out of order and now they cannot print medical call letter and stamp visas on the passports.Only the the rejection printer is working. They have sent lot of emails to the repairing company and below is response from the repairing company

"Your application is currently in process and is in queue to be reviewed by an immigration machine officer."

How genius of me

Haha ;D I believe in your explanation :p
I know it is hard to find a chink in this logic.Poor CHC is just forwarding the messages they have received from those cruel machine mechanics. I am sorry for my previous unreasonable behavior. From now on I will curse those mechanics (along with CHC of course ) ;D
