Defer Intake after getting Visa

Hi i got my Stuedent Visa today for Sept intake. Since i am late for sept intake ... how can i defer to january intake ? Should i go to Canada first and then defer my intake? in tat case , can i extend my student visa in canada itself or should i apply again for extension to the embassy in my country and then go to canada ? plz help me in this matter

when u applied and why CHC issued u visa now widout asking u to defer?
