You probably need to contact CBSA in order to find out exactly what you are allowed to do regarding importation and tariffs.
You may not be entitled to any tax or duty relief unless you fit into one of the known tariff groups. This will depend on the immigration status, and is based on the fact that you posted under the Refugee section of the forum.

Yes. from the US and our car was allowed into Canada.
