I know that none of us really knows, but I need to think out loud to make the time pass.

So a decision has been made on my permanent residency.

But how do I know that it's positive? My status changed to "Decision Made," but nowhere does it say that I have been accepted or rejected.

But they asked for copies of my passport by email (I'm from a visa-exempt country) prior to the status in my e-cas changing to "'In process" (which it was at for two weeks) and then "Decision Made" (past two days). What does it all mean? They wouldn't ask for my passport if they rejected me. But why would they ask for my passport prior to opening my file and making a decision.

I'm tracking my Xpresspost envelope. I should receive it by next Monday or Tuesday at the latest.

So worried. Any thoughts?!

Here is my info and timeline for those interested. My timeline isn't typical, just so that you know. There were delays on my end, due to laziness (my fault), life circumstances (birth of first child) and general bad luck (postal strike delaying my police certificates and CIC changing the procedures and application forms); hence the really long time it took me to get my act together to complete the PR application after having received my CSQ.

Type: Provincial Nominee (Quebec Experience Class)
Received CSQ: February 2011
Sent Permanent Residency application: December 2011. CIC received it December 6, 2011
Medical Exam request: Around February 2012
Nothing for a really long time
Passport Request email: November 1, 2012
Ecas changed to "In process": November 6, 2012
Ecas changed to "Decision made": November 15, 2012.
Prepaid Xpresspost activated: November 16, 2012.

I also accidentally posted this in the Skilled Worker forum, but I can't delete it. So that is why I have a double post.

You're good to go. They wouldn't be asking for your passport if its to reject. That's very unlikely, unless there's a material difference that they find on your passport that's different from when you applied. That's the only reason I can think of for rejecting. Congrats. You should have your passport in hand with 10 days from the date they received your passport.

Question though....for a visa exempt country, they ask for copies of the passport? So then, where do they stamp the PR visa?
