Decision made after package was delayed by the postal service.

My sister applied for Canadian immigration, she posted her full application package to Visa office and it was delayed in the mail. After four months she only saw her status showing decision made without any AOR.

Two days later she received an e.mail, that her package arrived 2 days late. She is so confused and does not know what to do next?

Any suggestions from members may help her out.

I am new to this forum. I was surprised to see how people are helping each other here. It really motivates me too to provide whatever information i could in future in this forum. Keep up the good work guys.

I would really appreciate if someone could reply to query by 'canadaforall' . What happens if application reaches late due to postal delay? Do they consider that it has been posted before the deadline or do they only consider the date when it is arrived?

I too have similar situation.
Deadline for my application is 30th Dec. 2009 and due to some problem, i am expecting to dispatch my documents by 27th or 28th. I am really worried if they would reach New Delhi office from Canada within a day or so. Please advice about the consequences if documents reach there after 30th Dec. although the date of dispatch would be 28th or 29th Dec. I am quite concerned about the this, any replies would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

First of all where are you from? most of the time you have proof when you send the documents, you have that proof to use that you sent the documents within time period, and 2nd if there were problems with postal services that would be on record as well. try the proof of delivery paper first
