My husbands mother is deceased and he now has a new mother. On his birth certificate it shows his deceased mother and on his Indonesian family card it shows his 2nd mother.

Do we fill out the application with his new mother's information?????

Thank you,
Anshu

Anshu,

i don't think I submitted my family card. They only ask for my birth certificate, and there's one form that you have to fill up with all the family information. I think you should put his real mother's name.

Thank you Catarina,

That is good advice. We will only give his birth certificate and fill out his first mother's information.

We are confused on what form we fill out with family information. Our friend told us not to fill out "Details of family members" on the Application for permanent resident form as they will think they will be coming to Canada and they are not.

We first filled out we put all his family information and included his family photos and my photo as his spouse, because the forms says "Provide the details of your family members weather they will be accompanying you or not"

Why is the application so confusing??? They sure make it an interesting process.... I can not wait till we are finished this process....Smile

Thank you so much for your help!

Warm regards

I wrote my family information on " Additional Family Information" form. You should give a complete information and shouldn't provide any false information, otherwise you will have a problems if you want to sponsor them in the future.

The other form, which I believe you were talking about the main application for the applicant, You SHOULD NOT PUT any other family information if they are NOT accompanying him to canada. You can leave them blank, and put NA on them.

Shanene,

I think I should correct myself. On the main application form, the Family information goes for his family members (whether or not they are accompanying him to Canada) providing they are not yet canadian nor Permanent Resident of Canada, but ONLY spouse and children.

sorry for the misinfo....
