Deafness and Cochlear Implant User Immigration

Dear All,

Please guide and help regarding my issue. I am deaf from bother ears and now using Cochlear Implant device which has been fixed through surgery in head and i have recovered my hearing up to reasonable level because I am post lingual deaf.
I have gone through cic website about immigration but i couldn't find the solution that i ma eligible for immigration or not.

If you have some information regarding this case hearing loss case then guide me.should i apply for the immigration or not?

Dear Basheer,
your hearing will not be a problem, as you will not require expensive medical care-the fact that you already have a cochlear implant underlines the fact that you will be able to get on ok in Canada. There are special rules for people with hearing loss and difficulties seeing for the English tests. If, once you have taken the language test and they have adjusted your scores based on your hearing difficulties you get enough points on the FSW scoring grid, you will be eligible.
