Hi guys,

I hope you all doing well.

So here is the situation we got nominated under the OINP French Speaking Stream and submitted our e-ARP and we got after that the AoR and also passed all the exams on 08 March me and my daughter but not the X ray for my wife because she is pergnant and we are waiting for the delivery.

We were told that our cases were sent to CIC and that my wife case is on standby mode untill delivery (June 2016) and radios/baby exams - My questions is that our Meds pass dates are different - I heard that they are valid only for 1 year and we need to land in Canada before this date anniversary. Are we doing to get a different deadlines to land in Canada in this case?

Here is what I see :

Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Review in Progress
Review of submitted documents Provided
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed Not Started
Final decision Not Started

I have a second question - Is there any way to get a refund of the PR fees that I paid if I withdraw my application at this point? I have not paid the RPR yet and have not been asked to do so.

If there is a way, how do I do that if decided?

Thank you,
Oz

I can't answer the medical/x-ray part of your question.

But what I know is that the application fee is non-refundable once they started processing your application, no matter what the outcome is (refusal, approval, withdrawal...). Only the RPRF is refundable if you don't land, but you haven't paid that anyways.

You will all receive your COPR with the same deadline. CIC may give you extra time to land given the circumstances, or it is possible that CIC asks you to repeat your medical exam. It depends a lot on how far you are past your medical expiry at the time the final decision is made...

No, you cannot get a refund of the application fees at this point.

If you decide to withdraw, you can send a case-specific enquiry to request this. Once you request a withdrawal, however, there's no undoing it...
