Deadline Missed | Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) was requested even though it's provided before!

Hello,

I am sponsoring my wife who is in India for the Permanent Residence, and I am in Canada.

My wife had received an email requesting PCC (Police Clearance Certificate), and we missed the deadline for it. Although we had provided the PCC with Application Package, and now the email did not mention any particular reason for the need for the PCC again. However, we had submitted the PCC later via web form and called CIC to inform about the whole situation.

Now the trouble is, even after the 10 business days when I called IRCC, they have not received any document that we submitted via Web Form. And I am not provided with any further direction on the process of my application going further. I know we missed the deadline, but do not know what can be the circumstances of that. And we do not know why CIC is asking for the PCC again (FYI – the PCC is not expired).

Can you help with the suggestion or information in this case?

Ensure you sent the PCC through IRCC Webform to the Visa Office processing your application.

if you sent the PCC through IRCC Webform to the Visa Office......IRCC certainly will have received the PCC..

You could also send a followup email to the Visa Ofiice processing your application regarding the PCC and missed deadline.

Thanks Wakki, I did the same. I submitted PCC via webform and also mentioned that we miseed the deadline. But the main question, why did they ask the PCC at the first palce, when we already have submitted the PCC with our first Apoplication Package! Also, PCC is not expired.

No one could say for sure why IRCC will ask again for the PCC.

After initially submitting PCC with your sponsorship package......later in the process, IRCC sometimes may ask you to upload a copy of the PCC through your online account linked to your application......i hope this wasn't the case with you.

Yeah, it's difficult to say. Also, I have linked the application to the online account, but it has never worked. Neither any message nor any update. I have always followed the email communications, and we used the web-form to submit the PCC when it was requested again.

The email from CIC says the following:

This refers to your Application for permanent residence under the Family Class or under the Spouse
or Common-law Partner in Canada class.
We require the following item(s) to continue processing your application:
 At this time, you need to provide a police certificate for:
1) The country where you currently live, if you have lived there for six months or more;
and
2) The country where you have spent most of your adult life since the age of 18.
You must also provide this for every family member (whether accompanying you to Canada or
not) who is aged 18 or older. Please refer to your application guide for a definition of “family
member”. This must be received at this office by: 2018/06/22
All requested documents/information must be submitted within the timeframes specified above
(formatted as “year/month/day”). If you are unable to provide any or all of the requested
documents/information, please explain why they are not available. No other reminder will be sent to
you. If you fail to provide the requested information, your application will be assessed on the basis of
the information that we have which may result in the refusal of your application for permanent
residence. Should this occur, no further consideration will be given to your request for permanent
residence unless a new application, including fees, is submitted.

Good you have submitted PCC via webform and also mentioned that we missed the deadline.

Don't be worried about the PCC.....if you still have concerns, you may send an email to the Visa Office processing your application.

Read this...could help with linking application to online account....

Thanks, talking with you helped me a bit. However, GC Key Account has already been linked but never showed me any messages in there. Please see the screenshot below -

Although we got an email request even after having an online handle.

FYI!

FYI -

When we submit any additional document via web-form, it should take 10 business days as per CIC. However, it takes more days often. For me, it took almost one month.

You may also like to know: We were requested to provide an additional document within one month of a deadline. We never noticed this email, and unfortunately, we missed the deadline. Although, a good thing is CIC does not close or return the file in such scenarios. You can still submit the document with an apology and proper explanation.

Hello friends.

My AOR is 31 Aug 2018. CIC sent me an email/letter on 22 Feb 2019 requesting for additional documents, which I discovered only today. Problem is they gave me deadline for submission until 28 Feb 2019, failing of which the letter says - "If we do not receive the information/documents within 7 days (i.e. by 28 feb 2019), your application will be assessed based on the information we have on file, meaning your application could be refused as incomplete."

Clearly I have missed the deadline. I want to know that if I submit now the requested additional docs (which I am going to in a couple of days), is there a way to save my application from being rejected?

Please let me know a way to fix this problem. Any help/advice/suggestion is most welcome and appreciated.

Thanks

Send an urgent Webform and let them know that you missed the request and when the documents will be sent.

Hello Dear,

I would really appreciate thoughts please.

I am going through big problem at the moment. IRCC sent email regarding ADR on 6th of Feb 2019 for updated Schedule A form and bio pages of passport. I am also using rep on my file and he missed that email and I only got to know about this email yesterday. Email clearly tells that submit the above mentioned documents within 30 days. I am extremely stressed and worried now that what should I do now, send them documents as soon as possible and also send my apology in letter of explanation. I know it will have serious impact on outcome of my application ... please share your experience... :(

Well I have written a A4 size length letter of explanation to london visa office and explained them every thing in detail that what really happened with us , email ended up in spam folder and got archive for being over looked for quite sometime and then I insisted my rep again and again to re check emails and finally got one. I also informed London Visa office through Webform that Email regarding ADR is missing and please re send again when I was going through all this situation.

I am quite pissed off due to this irresponsible behavior of rep and this mistake can cost me my future which I am dreaming for quite long time. There is nothing much I can do now except write honest and genuine explanation and send them documents ASAP. I will post required documents by tomorrow through DHL express and it will be in London in 2 days.

My online account status was (we need additional documents to process your application) on 1st of April.
then today (2nd April) it change to REVIEW OF ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS: (NOT APPLICABLE)

In your experience have you heard any case like that where applicant have passed submission deadline and been given relaxation. I am almost 30 days over my deadline.

Thanks for giving me your precious moments.

I havnt received my PCC yet from India. It's been 2 months already. The BLS offices are closed and tried to call but that number doesn't work. Emailed them as well, no response. Time is passing to submit my express entry application.

Any help would be appreciated.
