Hi everyone, I have just received my letter ( YAY!) asking for my passport so they can put my permanent residence sticker in . On the letter it says I must be in Canada on or before 03/02/2011. In Canada we go by month first then day then year, I know in Britian they go day month year. Has eles come across this? Any thoughts on if I am to be there in March or Feb? Thanks for your Help!

In my experience, in Canada and from documents originating from Canada, the format has always been DD\MM\YY. I believe you have until February the 3rd. If you have any doubt, call CIC and ask. As far as I know, the U.S. (my country) is only one of a handful that do MM\DD\YY. We also drive on the right (wrong) side of the road, and refuse to use the metric system. ;)

usually the date coincides with date of your medical. cause you have to be in the country before your medical expires.

Most English Canadians go by MDY, but some use the British DMY order. French Canadians always use DMY. The CIC forms all ask for DMY and since that works best for bilingual French-English officers, I'm fairly certain that it's the only pattern they would ever use.

Yes it's always been DD/MM/YYYY with Canadian Immigration Visa's and other documents.
February 3rd is correct :D
