I live in Toronto (North York area). So far it is a nice city and I enjoy it even though I really don't like winter here as it's too cold for me (this yeas was ok though).

I'm now waiting for PR as well but I apply through Buffalo not Singapore.

Bathurst and Finch area.

I don't think my wife will enjoy the weather either. We're happy here in Thailand but it is difficult to save money so we're considering moving to Canada for financial reasons.

Did you enter on a tourist visa? Is that easier?

I came here with a visitor visa I had since I was working as I had to come here for business meeting. Then I applied for student visa in US. After have been staying here for one and a half year, I got married.
