Date of obtaining canadian citizenship, confusion with month and date format

Hello All,
I am filling in Question 7 of IMM 1344 and have to enter the date of becoming a naturalized Canadian citizen. I have my Canadian citizenship certificate with me and it says "you acquired citizenship on: 2002 07 04. I need to know how whether 07 is the month and 04 is the date? (basically I am confused with the format for the month and date!).

Your all's help will me highly appreciated.
