yes we did apply few months after marriage because he was here in iran until may 2010 and after he back there he apply for me.

Guys I need help
I'm sending the requested documents from us by DHL today.
Should I send it to the embassy P.O. box or should I send it to their physical address.
At the end of the letter they sent to me it has the P.O.Box address but I don't think DHL will deliver to P.O.Box and I don't want to use Canada post because they might go on strike on June 2nd

It doesn't matter both refer to the same address. You can put the actual address to be on the safe side.

when i sent my RQ by T.N.T at the track number letter had been written that they will not sent to p.o box too...i called them ant they said don`t worry becuase it is embassy and the p.o box is clear where the letter must go they will sent it ito po box..so they will send it to the exact po box

Just a heads up for all Iranians getting their PPR! non of TNT, DHL or ARAMEX are allowed to deliver passports from/to Iran!
My wife is planning to fly there next week.

A) To submit your passport by courier:
Please note that courier companies cannot carry passports into or out of Iran so follow these instructions carefully to avoid unnecessary delays. You cannot send your passport by regular mail, only by commercial courier, you can use companies like: ARAMEX, DHL, TNT.
You CANNOT use Pishtaz Post.

Please send your passport(s) via commercial courier to:

Embassy of Canada in Tehran
c/o Visa Section in Damascus
...

It is your responsibility to make the appropriate arrangements with the commercial courier of your choice. The Embassy of Canada neither requires nor recommends that you use any particular courier; we have no special arrangements with any courier company. The courier company will drop off your passport at the Embassy in Tehran and will collect it once your visa has been issued.

You should expect to receive your visa a month after sending your passport by private courier. If you do not receive your passport within 6 weeks you should contact the courier company you choose and the Embassy in Damascus at the E-mail address below.

The Embassy in Tehran will not collect passports directly from applicants and it will not deliver passports directly to applicants; it will deal only with the courier company of your choice. If you have any question do not contact the Embassy in Tehran, you can contact only the Embassy in Damascus and the E-mail address provided below.

Remember: you cannot use regular mail and you cannot use Pishtaz Post.

B) To submit your passport in person at the Embassy of Canada in Damascus:
You can submit your passport in person at the Embassy of Canada in Damascus. You must submit your original passport. The passport must have a minimum validity of 6 months. You must also submit 2 photos for yourself.

You can submit your passport from Sunday to Tuesday from 08:00 am to 09:00 am. You will NOT be able to collect your Passport/Visa the same day. Passport/Visa can only be collected on the next day at 2:30 pm. When you submit your passport, you will be informed of the return date and time. You can authorise a third person to collect your visa. The third person must present a letter of consent (see below) and identification.

dear minsha, thanks for the news but saman informed us of that, its better this way, and yes you can use dhl or aramex or tnt, you just send it to the canadian embassy in tehran and they process it and once its done vice versa, so its good news since its faster !

exactly!!! pay attention to the emai, bring in your valid passport, what do you think that means?! sarah jan you will come back from syria with a PR simple as that, dont worry about anything, you were just unlucky that they picked you for their random interviews, which they do often , hey atleast no medical is needed and on the 16th its all over for you !!! ;D

another little note to all, interviews ARE SUBJECT TO DISCRETION, so pretty much its a luck game, it has nothing to do with how genuine your relationship is or if you sent in 30 pages of emails...... it makes no difference, just like airport security they might choose you, you can be an ANGEL but hey its routine so dont sweat it, its nothing unusual, its odd for them to this now since they have many files to process and this is slowing down the rest of the files but hey it happens, i wish my wife would be called for an interview, at least that shows progress !

It is very inconvenient (also given the current situation in Syria) but if my wife gets her PPR, I will opt for the same thing. I heard that if you give your passport to the embassy in Tehran, it will take 4-8 weeks before you get your visa.
