Damascus/Spousal since Jan 2010 or late 2009

I think my wife sent them a total of 6 or 7 emails since they started processing. She never got replies for the last 4.

In any case they called her early in the morning today and sent her an email with information on how and where to send the passport. ECAS is still the same status.

To all my dear friends, it seems that Damascus office is working so hard these days, I'm really happy about that, but why they don't issue a visa for Iranian people!!

It is really hard, and stressfull, we put our lives in hold, I wish to know why applications stay long time in Damascus office, How many people work there, and I believe eah application will take me one day to read it and understand every details, are they lazy or what the F###

your are not alone stressed we do all cry scream and hate the long wait and away from our loved ones but try not to stress toooooooooooooooooooo much stay busy and especially that you still have to wait few more months

Hi everyone

I thought i was in this problem : by my self but i was wrong i can feel your pain :'( but hopefully from the happy post in the last 2 threads its all over and every one can finally enjoy a happy life with their loved ones "

and now her is my story I sended my husband's sponsership application to mississauga on feb1st and the received it feb 3,2010 and i received sponsership approve letter on March 15,2010 and damascuse started processing the application on March 23, 2010 we didn't hear anything tell June 15,2010 they send my spouse a letter asking for the following documents:

- Full copy of your sponsor's passport showing all entry & exit stamps.
- The attached Residency Questionnaire should be completed by your sponsor.
- Proof of your communications such as: phone bills, cards, letters, e-mails...etc.
- Proof of your sponsor's residency in Canada such as: lease agreement, bank statements, Letter of Employment, Notice of Assessment for 2008 & 2009

he send all the fallowing document in person to office in damascuse and since then we didn't hear anything about the application and i didn't hire no lawyer or send any emails but my husband went to the immagration office couple of time and they said its still in processing and the there is soo much pressure of number of applications they are receiving every week and they would contact him if there was any more information thats alll

my question is: is it wrong that i haven't contacted them at all? :-X but i was waiting for the 8 months to finish before i contacted them? does this affect the application and should i consider speaking with the Mps soon .

I don't think contacting them will change procedure. At least I am sure they don't like to be contacted for so many.
The only thing I can advice is to be patient. you are not alone and we are all have same feelings
By your permission I'll add you to our chart-time list.
Compare your timeline with ambar, you are almost the same, he got his visa recently... so probably you will be contacted for your visa very soon

WE GOT THE PASSPORT REQUEST

Thanks GOD..... I can not believe it.... they just received our additional docs on sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So dear Eli, do not be afraid... they are working on iranian files...
we are sending the passport by DHL... they wrote that we should expect the passport to come back in a month...

you are soooo lucky ! I havent seen anybody else who gets the visa just after sending additional documents !
your case seems to be special !!
You said it will take a month for visa to be issued. it is a very long period of time. i thought it will just take few days, will it be faster if you go there in person or not ?
how did you get contacted ? did they call you or send an email or send a letter ?

Hey people!

When I was in Damascus one of the agents said they are trying to finish all the applications who's medical exams are about to expire since they are so back logged.. Plus it takes longer for male applicants to get approval then a female since there is all the backround checks that apply to males..

It might be a good idea to list when everyones medical was done so it would give us a better idea of timelines..
