guys i came across something very interesting, yes its a Saturday but im at the office, anyways i found out damascus is going batch processing because of staff shortage, i went back into new canadians' files and found out from may 5 to june 29 we had 150 permanent residency's issued to the middle east, if you guys remember thats the time we had like 10 in this forum in 2 weeks, thats exactly the time before summer holidays kicked in, what batch processing means is that they dont release PR to one person and move on to the next person because it takes much longer, usually there are enough staff to process as they go but since there is a shortage they have a complete file, they move to the next, and depending on their batch quota they release it all at once(within 18 days ) thats protocol,
what all this means is that they could be doing the same now that the fall season is in effect, for all we know some of us , like nagz gem nath kamal etc etc have complete files but they wont know until the quota is met, its stupid but thats how they compromise to meet the shortage..... anyways i thought you guys would be interested in knowing this

calm down guys! it might be true, but each case is different, maybe he got refused in the beginning, maybe his papers were missing or inaccurate...it doesn't mean it's gonna happen to us don't worry, no need to panic... the maximum time is 13 months!

I actually felt sorry for the Ottawa couple and their feelings; It was really hard for them.
All of us know that CICs treat persons' applications individually.

13 months is defenitely not the maximum time. You can say that MOST applications are done within this time preiod. Tomorrow will be exactly 13 months since my file reached damascus and we are still waiting for a response. According to my MP, review on our file is complete but I am surprised that the embassy didnt inform us or say anything yet. Does any one know what happens after the review is complete ?
