Hi All,
I went to the passport office in Bangalore, India today to apply for PCC. After one whole day's waiting, the deciding authority tell me that they cannot provide me PCC for my current passport as they deem it damaged. One page of my Passport is indeed damaged because of a baggage leak but the pages that matter are all intact. I have actually flown to the US and countries in Europe with this damaged passport. The option that I have now is to apply for a new passport. I have been wanting to do that as my old one expires in 2016, I need to add spouse details, change my address and get rid of the damage, of all the reasons.
I applied for FSW 2014 and my app reached CIO on June 5th. Please let me know your advice in this matter. Should I go for a re-issue of passport at this juncture where I am expecting my application to be processed sometime next month? Do you see any consequences of this? Looks like i will need a new passport for PCC anyways.
