My grand-niece is getting into primary school as an international student.
The parents will not be in Canada with her, so she will need a study permit.
To get a study permit she will need a custodianship form IMM5646E , she is 10 years old.
I would like to be a custodian, but I am in Canada on work permit, and IMM5646E form has only 2 options for custodian - citizen or permanent resident. Does that mean that I cannot be a custodian for her for study permit?
Some of the websites say that anyone who is in Canada legally can be a custodians, but the official form indicate otherwise. Anyone has a similar experience?
