Currently PNP applicant, do I need LMIA for work permit extension?

Hi everyone,

I am currently applying PR through the PNP, I have submitted the medical examination results in Oct 2014.
Now my work permit is about to expire, I wonder should I extend my work permit or can I apply a bridge work permit?

Can I somehow extend or get a new work permit so that I can keep working for a while longer until I get my PR? A bridge permit is good enough but I am so confused by the CIC website that I don't know how everything works.

If you do not have ANY extension/renewal/new WP application filed before your status expires, then on the expiry date, you fall out of status. And you don't have implied status.

If you file an application AFTER your current status has lapsed or after you fall out-of-status, then you need to apply for restoration of status along with your application for a new WP.
