Hi,
no you can't use your TRV because after landing all your valid visas became void. So if you want to travel, you have to apply for a travel document either in Canada or in a country you're traveling to.

no its one time visa after landing become void , You need to arrange a travel document if needed to travel urgently.

Hi Cancecjan2013,

I am told that TRV gets cancelled when PR visa is stamped.

After landing, in absence of PR card, Travel document is needed to re-enter Canada. Travel doc may be applied in Canada before leaving, but it not required for travelling out of Canada. One could also leave Canada and apply for travel document in the destination country (if it has Canadian consulate).

Conditions to get travel document from within Canada, I am told by consultants, are not simple...probably proof of need of travel is required....seems that applying for travel document from destination country might be simpler...

Appreciate you sharing your experience for all on this when you are done...

Cheers!
