Current Queue for Interview is 24 months?

Hi everyone, my wife got a letter from Singapore stating that she is on their interview list. and the current interview queue is 24 months.
and also they said:
"We are returning all of the documentary evidence that you submitted in support of your relationship with your sponsor. You may wish to bring this and any other material with you to the interview. Do not bring duplicates and phone cards."

Has anyone experienced this?
is the queue for interview really 24 months?



Submitted application- March 19
CIC received - March 21
Sponsor Approved - April 05
Application Transferred to Singapore - May
Medical - July 02
Medical passed - July 11
interview - waiting date

We have received such letter about the interview queue and it was saying 24 months too.. I was shocked too. But spouse lives in Malaysia and she is registered with UNCHR.. I don't know if that is going to be a problem if they ask for passport. Do they help exiting the country?? Anyone has an Idea please
